With the completion of the Mass Rapid Transit system, Inner Ring Roads and tremendous growth of traffic in recent years, Guangzhou focused on the improvement of traffic control and selected Tyco as the successful tenderer to upgrade and expand the SCATS system to over 700 intersections.  The project provides Guangzhou with the latest SCATS PC system and SCATS-GUI Chinese Interface, as shown below:

The Guangzhou Traffic Authority is convinced that SCATS is the right system for its future needs and will continue to expand the system in preparation for the Asian Games and other large events.
