Urban Traffic Control
Our flagship product leading our UTC range is SCATS™, the world leading adaptive traffic management system from the RTA (Roads and Traffic Authority) in Australia. SCATS™ works by measuring the traffic flow through an intersection and then automatically adjusting cycle lengths, splits and offsets between intersections to maximize throughput, minimize delays and reduce the number of stops en route.
Supporting SCATS™ are our state-of-art fully SCATS™ compatible traffic signal controllers. Over 22000 Tyco Traffic Signal Controllers have been installed in many major cities around the world
Other UTC products include LED signal heads, SOTU interface to non SCATS controllers and CellCom - our GPRS comms device for SCATS™.
